What is Winter Reading Club?
Winter Reading Club is a new take on the familiar Summer Reading Club concept. From December 1 through January 31, stop by your local Delaware County District Library branch and pick up a Winter Reading Club tracking bookmark. On the back of the bookmark, write down the title of a book you complete or the name of a program you attend. Once you fill all four lines, the bookmark becomes your entry form to win one of our amazing prize baskets! Just drop it in the corresponding entry box at your branch.
Who can participate?
Anyone! Winter Reading Club is for library lovers of all ages. Parents and caregivers, feel free to fill out a bookmark for your young library lovers or for early school-aged children as they read and attend programs this winter.
What are the prizes?
Our librarians have created some amazing prize baskets for various age groups: 0-5, 6-11, teen and adult. Each DCDL location will have all four baskets, and the Outreach patrons also have a chance to win an adult basket. See the chart below to get a glimpse at some of the fabulous prizes in each basket. And that's just a snapshot!
• Assorted popular books
• Coloring book
• Emoji pillow
*Thank you to Half Price Books and Central Ohio Symphony for the donations of the gift cards, coupons, and tickets. The Central Ohio Symphony tickets are for the March 5 performance, featuring Jennifer Jolly's The Ferry Crossing, Camille Saint Saens' Carnival of the Animals, and Hector Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique.
How many times can I enter?
Enter as often as you can fill your bookmark. Once you've been to four programs or read four books (or any combination of both), you can begin filling out a new bookmark and start all over again.
Do I have to enter my bookmark in my age group's prize basket?
No. If you're an adult and want to try to win a prize for a child or grandchild, feel free. Any participant can use their prize entry for any basket.
