Kids ages 8-12 can join our Powell Branch Bookworms book club to read a variety of books, meet to talk about it while enjoying snacks, and get entered into a raffle to win a free advanced reader copy of a book at each meeting!

Thursday night, the Powell Branch Bookworms met to discuss this month's book selection Hidden Figures: Young Readers' Edition by Margot Lee Shetterly. This book examines the untold history of four women who helped launch our nation into space and is the revised kids version of the adult nonfiction title of the same name. Kids enjoyed learning more about this pivotal time in our history told through the perspective of these determined and intelligent women. The kids described the book as "inspiring" & "interesting" because they learned a lot about science & space.

At our next meeting on Thursday, April 13th @ 6:30 PM, we will be discussing Swindle by Gordon Korman, a book with plenty of mystery, adventure, and humor! Check out a copy today and test your comprehension skills when you meet with us to discuss the book. See you there!
