Explaining the Ins and Outs of DNA Testing for the Beginner

Delaware Main Library

Presented by the Delaware County Genealogical Society

Have you ever considered having your DNA tested to find out more about your ancestry but been intimidated by all the scientific terminology? There are several types of DNA tests and multiple companies selling them. Costs vary and so do results. Which one should you choose? Should you take more than one? Just what can a DNA tell you? Perhaps you have taken a test, received the results but don’t know what to do next.

The Delaware County Genealogical Society has invited genealogist and educator Kelli Bergheimer to speak at the next program meeting on September 5 th to explain the ins and outs of DNA testing for the beginner. She promises to give a multi-media presentation with plenty of time to answer questions.

The presentation is open to the public and free of charge.
