Get organized in four easy steps
Organize your Library Life!
Have you declared 2025 to be the year that you’re going to get all your ducks in a row? If so, you’ll love these helpful tips on how to keep your library account and reading life organized this year.
- 1: Download the DCDL app. It’s easy to load all of your family’s cards and keep track of which titles everyone has checked out and when they’re due. You can also book study rooms, find great programs, explore new releases, and more! Find it on Google Play or on the App Store.
- 2: Get email receipts. You can now have all your family’s library receipts automatically sent to your email. Simply request email receipts when signing up for a card. Already have one? Email us to request email receipts or call your favorite branch!
- 3: Keep your reading history. Want to keep track of what you’ve checked out? Log into your DCDL account, then go to My Settings >> Account Preferences >> Borrowing History. This feature is not retroactive, and will start tracking your checked out items from the day it is activated.
- 4: Set your preferred pickup location. Log into your DCDL account, go to My Settings, and find Holds and Pickup Location. Your current preference will be shown; if you’d like to change it, just click change! You can also change your pickup location for a single item any time you place a hold.
Wishing you a happy, healthy, and well-organized 2025! Happy reading!
