The Delaware County District Library Board of Trustees has approved new operating hours and holiday closures for 2023. The new schedule takes effect Saturday, January 28, 2023.

At their board meeting on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, the Board of Trustees voted to implement the new operating hours for the library system to more closely align with our patrons’ use of the Library (read the full press release here). New hours, effective Saturday, January 28, are as follows:

Delaware and Orange branch libraries

• Monday – Thursday: 10 am – 7 pm
• Friday – Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
• Closed Sunday

Ostrander and Powell branch libraries

• Tuesday – Thursday: 10 am – 7 pm
• Friday – Saturday: 10 am – 4 pm
• Closed Sunday – Monday

Holidays and early closures for all branches in 2023 are as follows:

• Monday, January 2 | Closed for New Year’s
• Monday, January 16 | Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Monday, February 20 | Closed for Presidents Day
• Monday, May 29 | Closed for Memorial Day
• Monday, June 19 | Closed for Juneteenth
• Monday, July 3 | Open until 5 pm
• Tuesday, July 4 | Closed for Independence Day
• Monday, September 4 | Closed for Labor Day
• Monday, October 9 | Closed for Staff In-Service Training
• Saturday, November 11 | Closed for Veterans Day
• Wednesday, November 22 | Open until 5 pm
• Thursday, November 23 | Closed for Thanksgiving Day
• Monday, December 25 | Closed for Christmas Day
