November is National Native American Heritage Month

Delaware County District Library joins The Library of Congress, National Archives, Smithsonian Institution and all Americans in paying tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans.

Recycle Your Holiday String Lights!

Don’t throw away those strands of holiday string lights that no longer work — recycle them with us! Starting November 15, simply drop your unwanted string lights into the Recycle Right recycling bins located at all Delaware County District Library locations.

Thanksgiving Closures

All Delaware County District Library locations will close at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 27, and remain closed on Thursday, November 28. We will reopen with normal operating hours on Friday, November 29. We wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving!

Film Noir on Kanopy

Are you a fan of film noir? Then you’ll love Kanopy’s Noirvember film collection! From Kansas City Confidential to Chinatown to The Midnighters, you’ll find everything from black and white classics to new neo-noir thrillers.

Powell Library Temporary Closure

Due to the need for maintenance and repairs to the restrooms and the floor of the building, the Powell Branch Library at 460 South Liberty St. will temporarily close to the public from October 28 through December 2, 2024.
